The 1st Kirkmuirhill BB Company is an organisation for boys and young men, aged 6-18. An integral element of Kirkmuirhill Parish Church, we provide a wide variety of opportunities for boys in a Christian environment. We meet on Thursday evenings in the church hall, and are made up of the following sections: • Anchor Boys Primary 1 to Primary 3, meets 6:30pm – 8:00pm • Junior Section Primary 4 to Primary 7, meets 6:30pm – 8:00pm • Company Section S1 and upwards, meets 8:00pm – 9:30pm Each section gives the boys varied opportunities to learn and express themselves in physical, sporting, educational and faith-based activities, all of which are carefully aimed at the appropriate age group and seek to promote habits that will give the boys a sense of self respect, respect for others and helping to equip them for life in general. We play lots of games, do crafts and tell stories. Most importantly it’s about the boys having fun with their friends. The Boys Brigade Motto : Sure and Steadfast Our Objective: The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, discipline, reverence and self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.
